近年來，大同市緊緊圍繞科技創新和先進裝備制造、能源新技術及制造產業、文旅康養產業，積極對接龍頭企業和專精特新科技創新企業，以商招商、配套招商，牽引上下游相關產業落地發展。數字經濟、醫藥產業、通航產業以及能源裝備等十大重點產業鏈已形成產業鏈式集群發展格局，一批重大項目正快速推進。
能源產業方面，持續深化能源革命綜合改革試點，加快推動“?光火儲及源網荷儲”一體化發展，著力構建“?光水火地儲氫”綠色多元能源供給體系。
數字產業方面，打造“東數?算”山?節點大同集群，加快建設全國具有影響力的綠色數據中心集聚區和算力中心城市。
裝備制造產業方面，堅持把新能源汽?和服務器研發、生產、應用作為主攻方向，同時聚焦煤機制造等傳統裝備 ，建設全國具有影響力的成套煤機裝備生產基地 。
現代醫藥產業方面 ，建設多元化現代化醫藥產業體系，申報國家原料藥生產基地，打造華北藥都。
文化旅游產業方面，擦亮國家歷史文化名城、中國十大古都 、中國優秀旅游城市等名片，著力建設國際知名文化旅游目的地。
現代物流產業方面，加快國家物流樞紐承載城市建設，積極申報國家綜合貨運樞紐補鏈強鏈示范城市 ，打造面向京津冀 、輻射全國的區域物流集散中心。
新材料產業方面，壯大新材料產業發展，形成技術先進、特色鮮明、集約集聚的新材料產業集群。
綠色建材產業方面，加大資源化利用，著力建設京津冀綠色建材生產供應基地，鞏固國家大宗固體廢棄物綜合利用基地地位。
特優農業方面，建設京津冀地區“菜籃子” 產品供應基地、全國北方農牧交錯帶核心示范市、全省雁?關農牧交錯帶示范區重點市。
通用航空產業方面，建設通航全產業鏈服務、通用航空培訓教育、通用航空品牌運營、輕型航空器及零部件研發制造“四大基地〞。
下一步，大同市將繼續采取有力措施，大力培育招商引資載體，特別是發揮好大同經開區國家級開發區高能平臺作用，真正形成全市吸引外來投資的“洼地”。同時，加大招商引資項目服務和保障力度，努力打造市場化、法治化、國際化營商環境，切實為招商引資項目保駕護航。宜居宜業宜游的大同必將成為國內外客商的投資沃土和發展高地，與八方客商互利共贏，共同步入高質量發展快車道!
In recent years, focusing on technological innovation, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy technology and manufacturing industries, as well as tourism and healthcare industries, Datong has been actively attracting leading enterprises and Specialized and New Enterprises (SNEs) and making full use of the resources and influence of existing enterprises to attract the related industries both upstream and downstream to invest in Datong. Ten key industrial chains, including the digital economy, the pharmaceutical industry, the general aviation industry, and energy equipment etc. have formed an industrial chain-style cluster development pattern. A number of key projects are making progress rapidly.
In the energy industry, Datong continues to deepen the comprehensive pilot reform program of the energy revolution, accelerating the integration of wind-solar-coal (plus storage) hybrid systems?and Source-Grid-Load-Storage (SGLS), and striving to build a green and diversified energy supply system of ‘wind, solar, hydro, thermal and geothermal hydrogen energy storage’.
In the digital industry, Datong is building a cluster as a part of the Shanxi node in China's?east-data-west-computing?project, and is accelerating the construction of a nationally influential green data center cluster and computing power center city.
In the equipment manufacturing industry, Datong gives priority to the R&D, production and application of new energy vehicles, and focuses on traditional equipment such as coal machines to build a nationwide-influential production base of complete sets of coal machine equipment.
In the modern pharmaceutical industry, Datong builds a diversified modern pharmaceutical industry system and applies for a national API production base to build the "pharmaceutical capital" of North China.
In the cultural tourism industry, Datong is one of the first group of twenty-four historic and ancient cities of China, one of the ten ancient capital cities of China and Top Tourist City of China. Datong is striving to build a reputation as an international tourist destination city.
In the modern logistics industry, Datong boosts its development as a national logistics hub-bearing city; actively applies to be a national model city of comprehensive freight hub that carries on strong points and bolsters weak spots, thus building a regional logistics distribution center facing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and influencing China.
In the new materials industry, Datong promotes its development in this regard to form an advanced, distinctive, and intensive new materials industry cluster.
In the green building materials industry, Datong promotes the recycling of wastes, focuses on constructing a green building material production and supply base for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and consolidates its status as the national comprehensive utilization base of bulk solid waste.
As for the characteristic agriculture, Datong is constructing the base for producing and supplying the 'Vegetable Basket Project ' (non-grain food supply project) for the Beijing-Tianjing-Hebei Region, a model city of agricultural and pastoral ecotone of north China, a key city of the Shanxi ecological pastoral economic region around the Yanmen Pass
In the general aviation industry, Datong establishes "four bases", the service of the whole-industrial general aviation chain, general aviation training and education, general aviation brand operation, and R&D and manufacture of light aircraft and parts, respectively.
